Filipinos always bring pride and honor to the Philippines no matter what country they are in. With their great talent and dedication from work, one can’t deny that Filipinos are just one-of-a-kind.
A Filipino once again brought pride to the country as he garnered cheers and wows from the audience after joining “Ireland’s Got Talent”.
The Filipino nurse based in Dublin was identified as Rodelle Borja. His journey to joining the said singing contest was not easy especially because he suffers from a speech impediment, causing him to stutter every time he speaks.
Because of his condition, his self-esteem was greatly affected but through singing, he was able to believe in himself again.
Borja worked at a nursing home in Dublin. He wanted to join the singing contest to inspire other who also have the same condition. The 29-year-old Filipino strongly believes that having this condition should never hinder you from following your dreams.
In the audition, Borja sang the song of Elvis Presley “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. During her performance, he was able to earn a standing ovation from Judges Louis Walsh, Denise van Outen, Michelle Visage and Jason Byrne, on top of the many people who cheered on him.
