Back to the time when social media is still not widely used, it is very to reach your loved ones abroad. Snail mails take a couple of months to reach the receiver. But now, it only takes a few seconds to send a message and a few minutes to post anything on your Facebook wall.
This advantage is great for Overseas Filipino Workers. They can easily reach their families in the Philippines, no matter how far they are. They can also utilize it to post for help in case they are being treated badly by their employers.
Facebook user Lyn A. Teodoro took time to write a post about the concern of an OFW who is being treated unfairly by her employer. The OFW was identified as Rosallene Repollo.
“Nakita po naming siya sa mcdo humihingi po siya ng tulong gusto niya na makauwi mag isang bwan palang siya dito sa saudi alhasa alsamaniya,” Teodoro writes in her post.
According to Teodoro, the OFW that they met at MCDO is being brought to many houses every day to clean and work. She is also not given enough food to eat.
In fact, when they saw her, the OFW’s employer is eating, while she was left by herself all alone.
Teodoro hopes that her post could reach the right people and help will come as soon as possible.
