Let’s take a break from the never-ending issue of Sheerlyn Gerasta, the OFW who left her tricycle driver husband to an engineer in Saudi Arabia. Aside from Sheerlyn, there are a lot of other Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) who needs help but sad to say, they are not getting a quick response same as with Sheerlyn.
Five OFWs in Saudi Arabia appear in a video which was posted on Facebook to ask for help so they can return to their families in the Philippines.
According to the one person talking in the video, their work contract in Saudi Arabia already ended last year yet they were left without a choice but to remain in the country because their Iqama is already expired.
When the Iqama of a foreign worker gets expired, they cannot get an exit visa which is a requirement to leave the country.
They are currently staying in their barracks for seven months. During those months, they were not given a salary, therefore, they cannot meet their daily needs, especially food.
Their contract ended last June 18, 2018, but until now they are still in Saudi Arabia. They already went to POLO but never got the help they greatly need.
They were asking for help directly from President Duterte and TV personality Raffy Tulfo who already helped countless OFW and other people who go to their office seeking advice and help.
