The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that a Filipina tourist has been missing in Bali Indonesia since December 25.
According to the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta, they already filed a missing person report on the Filipina identified as Ella Balmaceda Paaño. Authorities were alerted after her family alerted them as they lost contact of the Filipina since Christmas day.
Paaño, who works at a resort in Coron, went to Indonesia last December 22 and should return to the Philippines by December 28, said Ambassador to Indonesia Leehiong Wee.
The last Facebook post that Paaño made was on December 24 and her family can’t reach her through her mobile phone, according to The Filipino Times.
The sister of Paaño already traveled to Manila from Camarines Sur on January 15 to ask for assistance from the Department in locating her.
