Heads up, job hunters! Japan will hire 345,000 foreign workers as the country is needing workers in fourteen different industries. What’s more exciting about this job offer (aside from the big salary offer) is the opportunity to bring your family to Japan as they have the possibility of acquiring ‘immigrant status.’
Just recently, Japan accepted Filipinos for their Technical Internship Training Program (TITP). The job offered by TTIP is totally different from this newly launched employment track of Japan because it allows Filipino workers to acquire “specified skilled worker visa” while the jobs offered by TITP only considers workers as ‘trainees’ and are prohibited from extending their contract over the 5-year-period given to them.
Additionally, for this new employment track, workers are allowed to bring their families to Japan where they could apply for immigrant status.
Japan will be hiring foreign workers over these job categories:
- Accommodation Industry
- Agriculture
- Automobile repair and maintenance
- Shipbuilding and Ship Machinery
- Aviation Industry
- Manufacture of Food and Beverages
- Building cleaning management
- Machine parts and tooling
- Care workers
- Industrial machinery
- Construction
- Food service industry
- Electric, electronics, and information
- Fishery and aquaculture
- Food service industry
Despite the disadvantage of working under the TITP, there are still advantages that await. Workers under this TITP are allowed to transfer to the new employment track so they can change their ‘trainee visa’ into a ‘specified skilled worker visa.’
