Most of the time, when you help someone, you get to reap the fruit of your good deeds. But, what happened to this Filipino in Kuwait is the other way around.
Instead of being appreciated for helping a Filipina domestic helper who was allegedly treated badly by her employer, he was put into prison.
If you come to think of it, there is already an ongoing agreement between the Philippines and Kuwait when it comes to the welfare of Filipino domestic helpers in the country. But then, there are still a number of incidents of badly treated OFW in this oil-rich country.
As for the Filipino who was imprisoned for helping a Filipina to “escape” from her employers, he is asking for help and demands justice for the incident.
In a letter which was posted by acertain Habebe Ko Vangie in her Facebook account, Dave is asking for help from afamous TV personality, Mr. Raffy Tulfoand to the President Rodrigo Duterte.
The letter which was personally written by Dave, with real name Jelmar Fuentes, he is gravely asking for help because of the unfair decision that made him sent into prison since November 28, 2018.
According to Dave, he helped a Filipina by giving her a taxi ride and the latter also paid for the ride, something he thought was never a crime. He sent the Filipina to the Philippine Embassy.
He wanted to state all the information but he couldn’t because he is still inside the prison.
