For OFWs, it is important to know the current taxi fares in the Philippines so as to avoid people who will take advantage of you.
There are already a lot of circumstances involving ‘money extortion’ among OFWs especially because they particularly do not know the current taxi fares in the Philippines. Some taxi drivers even refuse to use their taxi meter and just set a specific amount of fare that is a lot higher than the normal one.
Most victims of these higher-than-normal taxi rates are Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) who just got home to the Philippines after years of working abroad.
Despite the effort of the Manila International Airport to curb these kinds of activities, there are still existing abusive taxi drivers who are brave enough to perform their modus.
The only way to stop these people from taking advantage of our modern day heroes is to provide information as to the right and exact taxi fares on their specific destination starting from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Fortunately, the Land Transportation Franchising & Regulatory Board has released a prescribed fee that every passenger can look up to.
