Who’d have thought that despite the strict regulations that President Dutertehas implemented in all airports in the country, there are still those brave-hearts capable of stealing from our modern-day heroes – the Overseas Filipino Workers.
Facebook user Jimmerly Cantil Balani shared on her social media account the horrible experience of her friend. According to Balani, her friend lost some of her ‘pasalubong’ for her family in the Philippines.
Her friend works as an Overseas Filipino Worker. She was supposed to return to the Philippines with smiles and laughter but all she got are tears because of the unfortunate event.
Balani blamed Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 or the Davao Airport on the said stealing incident. She also said that they tried to raise complain but the airport officials only promised to call them.
“It’s so sad to think that my friend became a victim of a stealing incident in NAIA Terminal 3 or Davao Airport. To think that she had to endure so much just to buy those gifts for her family is really devastating,” writes Balani.
Several photos of her friend can also be seen on the Facebook post. In one of the pictures, a luggage can be seen with a broken lock. Inside the luggage are the ‘pasalubong’ of Balani’s friend for her family.
The incident is not new especially now that more OFWs are coming home for Christmas. Another OFW lost P250,000 at NAIA over a woman who tried to win her trust.
