Canada Immigration is now fulfilling the promise made to those live-in caregivers which were employed by their Canadian families.

This promise is to providepermanent residence to those who worked for two years. This move is to allowthese live-in caregivers to continue living in Canada as a resident, says AskImmigration.

Despite the efforts to make the process run smoothly, there are still backlogs which were formed due to the huge amount of requests. Because of that, those qualified individuals are directly granted by authorities, paving the way to 17,500 live-in caregivers to have their residence visa.

Individuals who were granted the benefits of this program are those Canadian families who failed to retain the services rendered by a domestic helper for several reasons, those foreign trained caregivers with two years complete employment, most importantly, those families who greatly requires the services of a caregiver because of their children, a disabled family or elderly.

It is expected that there will be a high number of new acceptances this year which will bring new employers and applicants. This is just a good opportunity for employment and qualified applicants can fulfill their dreams in Canada. Overseas Filipino Workers can now extend their time in the country and earn more for their families in the Philippines.
