Overseas Filipino Workers can now claim their terminal fee refund starting from February 2015 until April 2018.
Billy Reyes, an OFW, felt really happy upon knowing that she can still claim his terminal fee refund worth P550.00 especially now that the prices of the basic commodities are very high.
The budget for the terminal fee refund is from the 19 airlines which were remitted from July 2018 to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
The total terminal fee refund reached to P279.98 million, half of it is domestic terminal fees. While P107.65 million are from the OFWs and passengers whose flight were not used or cancelled.
According to MIAA, claiming of terminal fee refund is available at the MIAA office, Pasay City, around 8:00AM to 5:00PM, from Monday to Friday.
“There is no prescriptive period of the refund. We have opened a trust fund but we do not own the money. It is the money of the passengers,” says Arlene Britanico, Officer in Charge at MIAA Finance and Administration.
Some of the requirements to obtain the terminal fee refund includes Overseas Employment Certificate, passenger ticket, itinerary receipt, official receipt, photocopy of the boarding pass, valid government-issued ID with photo.
For passengers whose flight were canceled, they can bring these requirements;
Copy of tickets with locator number and code LI, and valid government-issued ID with photo.
OFWs who are not in the Philippines can still claim their refund as long as they can provide an authorization letter from to a trusted family member.
MIAA also reminds the public that passengers from these airlines are the ones covered in the terminal fee refund;

- Singapore Airlines
- Kuwait Airways
- KLM Royal Dutch
- Cathay Pacific
- Ethiopian Airline
- Qatar Airways
- Thai Airways
- Air China
- China Eastern Airlines
- Delta Airlines
- Saudi Airlines
- Saudia Airlines
- Royal Brunei Airlines
- Air Niugini
- Emirates
- Turkish Airlines
- United Airlines
- All Nippon Airways
- Oman Air
MIAA is requesting the 21 other airlines to remit the terminal fee refund so they can issue it to the passengers.

2015 po december 14 umuwi ako galing kuwait january january 16 dapat balik ko sa kuwait pero di ako nakasakay makukuh ko pa ba ung refund ticket ko paki email nAman po please thank you
