Instead of paying Php 10,000 – 20,000, applicants should only pay Php 185.00 for the overall package for the titling of public lands, said DENR CARAGA Regional Director Charlie E. Fabre.
Department of Environment and Natural Resources declared a package amount of Php 185. 00 as the total amount to be paid for the titling of public funds. The package includes the application fee, clearances, and stamp. Also, applicants are not obliged to pay for the land survey as they are already being paid by the government.
- What does a Land Title Mean?
A Land title or mainly Title is a legal document proving that you are the legal owner of the property, either by individual, corporation or association.
- Acquire Land title through these proceedings;
- Judicial proceedings – can be accomplished through filing a petition for registration.
- Administrative proceedings – can be accomplished through filing an application for patent at the DENR. This becomes the basis of issuance of the Original Land Title Certificate from the Register of Deeds.
- Classification of lands based on the ownership
- Private properties – lands with titles.
- Public properties – lands without titles (public plaza, roads and rivers). Public lands are then classified as Alienable/disposable and non-alienable lands. Alienable (A & D lands) are those agricultural lands that private citizens can acquire while non-alienable lands are those lands that cannot be acquired by private citizens or organizations such as forest lands, national and mineral lands.
