Good news to all Filipinos who are looking for a job abroad. Israel opens its doors to Filipino hotel workers as well as caregivers.
Israel, a prime destination of Overseas Filipino Workers, are seeing to hire Filipino workers for their hotel industry. According to the Philippine’s Overseas Labor Department, they will discuss the hiring procedure as a delegation from Israel will arrive soon in the country.
The hiring of Filipino workers will be under a new agreement which will the second one for now. It can be recalled that President Duterte already signed a bilateral labour agreement when he visited Israel just last month.
According to Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, this labor agreement offers more advantages to Filipino workers as it will totally reduce the recruitment fees.
Israel is another popular destination for Filipino workers who aspire to work abroad in the Middle East along with countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, and Bahrain.
There are already 29,000 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) in Israel. A huge number of it are working as caregivers. In this coming years, this number will surely grow because of the labor agreement.
Aspiring OFWs are reminded to apply only in accredited recruitment agencies to avoid falling prey to human trafficking.
