The Incident
On January 9, about 30 minutes before midnight, a Filipina was waiting for her friend near a prayer house in Rashidiyah. However, a man showed up saying that she should follow her to his car, insisting that he is a policeman.
They scuffled for ten minutes in her attempt to escape the man. She still managed to escape the 30-year-old man. The Filipina also ordered for a police patrol to prove that he is indeed a policeman.
The commotion was put to stop when the man spotted a pedestrian. She immediately ran away into an alley not knowing that it was the place where the man parked his car.
The man started chasing her again and pestered her. Luckily, some residents heard the noises made by the woman and came to check them.
The Filipina tried to photograph the plate number of the defendant’s car but he grabbed her phone. They wrestled on the ground, causing injuries all over her arms.
